In the long run, we hope this means that, eventually, no company (or customer) will even have to consider the social and environmental impacts when choosing their suppliers, among other key business decisions. In the meantime, we’ll help all businesses manage their sustainability journeys one profitable step at a time.

The Impact Checklist.
The easiest thing any company can do to keep up with their competitors in all areas of impact will be to use our impact calculator, which is free for all to use. Not only can they explore the formula behind our calculator to get a deep understanding of how to achieve a desirable score, but they can also calculate the score of competitors to get a solid frame of reference and set more approachable targets. (Though our first launches will prioritize the product we serve to our consumer user base, we will quickly build a more user-friendly, checklist version of our formula for business users soon thereafter.)
Exploring our formula will be helpful for several reasons:
It’s built collaboratively. Not only will consumers be the leaders of these conversations surrounding how we should measure a comapny’s larger impacts, but companies will also be motivated to include their unique, creative approaches to impact improvement. Stay connected with both the experimental and proven opportunities available for your sustainability journey.
It’s educational. Because we aim to make ethical consumption accessible to all, our formula prioritizes its educational value. So not only do consumers get a better chance to more fully appreciate the work that goes behind each achievement, but companies can also get a better glimpse of the potential work that lies ahead of them.
It’s conversational. With each area of our formula holding a platform for relevant conversations, companies can begin to get a more nuanced sense about how consumers prioritize these factors.

Consumer Insights.
The next thing your company could do to maximize their competitive edge is to subscribe for our consumer insights. We will offer two subscription levels, basic and premium, each with a tiered pricing system that accommodates for each company’s size and level of access to resources.
Subscriptions allow you to (1) see more accurately what consumers care about, (2) socially engage with our platform’s community from a verified account, and (3) access more customized business resources, including surveying our users. Our business dashboard is where you’ll go to figure out your next steps. Ask our community for even more help in making the right decisions!
Other Business Services.
If you’ve figured out what your next steps are but now you need to figure out how to do them, or maybe you just need someone else to take over completely, or perhaps you want an even deeper look at the data we have, we’ll direct you to the professionals you need. We offer exclusive access to all of our data and clientele to sustainability focused firms (analysts, consultants, auditors, etc.) in exchange for a commission.
So, we recommend contracting these firms not only because they are powered by our data, but also because they instantly add a significant level of verification to any new information you add to your impact profile. Otherwise, you may need to contract a separate third-party verification service to validate your improvements. We aspire to help many of these firms offer flexible pricing to pro-bono services for businesses that need the additional support. Nonetheless, we will still help you find assistance elsewhere, if that is what you need.
Increased Visibility for Your Efforts.
Once you have taken the steps to improve your environmental and social footprints, with or without a subscription, any representative of a company can fix or add new information with supporting documents to ensure our database accurately reflects your company’s current performance. Because of our source reliability scoring system, you can onboard your new information even before acquiring third-party verification on it. Assuming you will want your improvements to be as visible as possible, we will provide options to contract verification services or join a waiting list for pro-bono services. We will also provide advice on how to invite reliable journalists and reporters to investigate your claims, as it may be the most affordable way of increasing visibility, although by itself, this method cannot achieve maximum reliability. As a method for introducing oursleves and raising brand awareness, we are running a program called Affiliate Marketing for Good, where consumers can become familiar with the value we provide them (maximizing the positive impacts of every purchase), while businesses learn the value we provide them (helping them find their next steps towards sustainability).
